Trip out to the country

I just realized I forgot to post a little about our day trip out to check on some of the family members land & enjoy a Khmer picnic together , Thursday, Phally sister "Rajana) was  able to get a 1/2day off work, ( she cooks for the YWAM group) she wanted to take us out to see her land & take 200 baby mango trees out to plant on it. It was approx 11/2hr drive out of Battambang  towardsThailand. So we, Rajana & her husband "Ming " Phally's. Mom, her brother Yoot, & Chris.

This is the farmer that is growing casava on Ming & Rajana land. He will plant the trees in between the rows . 

Pretty good ground I think !

We hiked across the field to a river under the trees the water was pretty brown because of the rainy season. But a nice shady spot:) ( except for the zillions of ants attacking my legs, I might have enjoyed it) 

Khmer picnic , rice of course, cucumber, fried fish, round green eggplant cooked with some herbs , seasoning it was very good but I don't know what it was called.
