During our last few days in Battambang I went to Vandy's with Phally to help out with the English classes at 2pm and stayed to visit while we waited to help out with the 5pm class, this last day I was there decided to play games with the kid, derived games from the TV show Minute to Win it. The kids seemed to enjoy it. and we enjoyed watching them do the challenges.! Stan was helping Chris work on the addition of his roof at his house at his farm.

Travel as usual is always a learning experience, and helps develop patience! Vandy and her husband graciously offered to drive us to Poipet, the border town, and they knew a man who has a business helping people across the border and arranged a van to take us to Bangkok. which was very nice to know the details were handled. We arrived in Bangkok Saturday evening Jan. 10. On Sunday Jan. 11th we had an evening flight out to Ubon R. we, rested at the hotel till time to head to the airport, the process reminded me a bit like the Amazing Race, first a Tuk Tuk took us to a large mall called Terminal 21, where there was a place to get on the Sky train, that takes you across the city above it. Of course its standing room only with luggage....then we had to find the station to get off, and find a bus on the street to take us to the airport, standing room only again, 30 minutes out on the bus we arrive at the airport, get checked in and find the gate, to find out our plane is delayed, so we let Chansamone know, He arranged a Thai Pastor he works with, to pick us up at the airport. We finally get to leave, we have to board another bus (standing room only) to go out to the plane to board, finally on the plane. Since we are getting in late, they advised we stay overnight in Ubon then we will go out to the village of Nonpurset the next day.

Monday morning Pastor Poa picked us up with his family and took us out to Nonpurset, Mekong Evangelical Mission Campus, where they have a Christian school about 900 students from the villages attend Pre-K thru grade 12, plus a Bible seminary, we arrived just before lunch, they were having a staff meeting so we were introduced and asked to tell about ourself.
After enjoying lunch together some of the staff showed Stan and I some of their fields, explaining the crop, and the seeding processes.
That night their son made us dinner of Spaghetti, fried chicken and french fries, it was very good!!
The next day Tuesday we went around with Pastor Chan Yoot and Sehn who translated, looked at several farmers fields, sand enjoyed a nice lunch together at a small place along the road. then looked at a few more fields and enjoyed visiting with a few of the farmers. even tho we don't understand Thai, when you are fellow believers and are farmers somehow we can seem to visit, and enjoy each others company! :)) The lady in these pictures was so nice, shared her boil sweet potatoes to snack on together and told us about her sister who had a serious health problem and how she prayed for her I think 5 years, and how just 4 months ago her sister accepted Jesus as her Saviour! and was healed from her health problem, she asked us to come to her house and pray with her.

Wednesday January 14th, Chansamone's wife had a doctor appointment in Ubon so we arranged our flight back to PP for that day. We flew from Ubon to Bangkok, then on to PP arriving late afternoon. A nice suprise at the airport was a quick visit with Marie Eins, she was returning from Bangkok also! Dave Hall our faithful friend, was patiently waiting at the airport for us, and took us to his home for a nice dinner with his family! they are to good to us!! On Thursday, Dave picked us up and took us to "Lucky Lucky Moto shop where we rented a Moto, and then we made our way a bit carefully from busy downtown back to the Hall's home. praying we wouldn't get lost! No Problem!. then Dave got his moto, and gave us the grand tour across PP. and around! By Friday Stan was getting confident, joining the rest, crossing thru the traffic, and all!!

Early Friday morning we met up with Rob Schmucker and his group, an went with them to a village somewhere about 1 1/2hr South of PP where they were doing a training on farming methods, and applying it to scripture. It was an interesting day. we got a bit turned around coming home, in the dark, at least we thought we were... but we found our way!
Saturday we enjoyed hanging out at Logo's school with the Hall's their boys were participating in a fund raiser the school was putting on to raise money for a project helping out a village I think with dental clinic, (not sure, some kinda outreach). the highlight was meeting Steve Hyde who is head of mission Asia for Jesus! has a lot going on here in Cambodia.
Sunday, We went over to the new Aeon Mall it was put in by Japan, huge and very modern! you could forget where you are in this place! Then we met up with Jandee along the way back, and took him to get a bite to eat, SO nice to catch up with him and whats happening in his life! so sad I didn't get a picture! my phone died, so it got left at home, but we hope to see him again before we leave.
Today, Tuesday We went out to Place of Rescue
to see about some repairs, we had a very nice time, with Marie & seeing the little ones.
Stan helped out with seeing about repairs on her lift chair.
She sent us home with warm rolls, right out of the oven!! YUM!!
This little guy was one of the Preemies at
"Place of Rescue" that we visited last Summer.
Please pray for him, he showing serious signs of
a neurological problem, the doctor in Cambodia says there isn't anything that can be done, so Marie Ens is going to see about taking him to Bangkok to the hospital there.

This is a newborn little guy 10 days old today. abandoned, because he has a severe cleft palate, which they are already starting to treat. Marie has another brand new baby that has a very minor cleft palate, but because they aren't perfect the families will abandon them, because they think they are "bad karma". so sad. Remember to pray for these little ones.
Sights along the way returning from Place of Rescue.
