I hope this coming Christmas Season, finds you all our dear friends and family, enjoying time with your families, remembering the real reason for the season, the time when we are privileged to celebrate the birth of our dear Lord and Saviour! Merry Christmas!!
I, Lori arrived by bus to Battambang on Saturday morning on December 10th, so I could help out with the preparations, ( Stan had to go to the farm, so he wasn't able to join) first I went to Chris and Phally's and had lunch with them and some of the kids of their ministry, and then a group of the kids preformed some of their songs for us. as they were practicing for their Christmas Celebration which will be held at their (Chris and Phally) home on Dec. 24th.
On December 11th we celebrated with Vondy and her Family Ministry Christmas Celebration, It was well attended!! I don't have an exact count of people, but I think more than last year and last year was about 400 people!! we ran out of bread and had to send someone to go purchase more and nearly ran out of the chicken curry, just had enough left for our breakfast the next morning! We had 200 gifts for children and ran out :(. A group came from a different "Slum area", and afterwards asked Vondy of their kids could join in her ministry! Vondy of course was very excited! Her "boss" from her days as a missionary in the 1990's, of running back and forth to the border of Thailand, evangelizing on a moto, also attended for the first time, and shared with me that Vondy was his best Evangelist, and was sad when she had to stop, due to health reasons. but God had another plan for her !! and its evident that His plan was perfect for her in this time of her life by the fruit of her Ministry!!
