Today, Sunday morning started out with the feeding program and worship service, lots of people and lots of small children and babies! When you see all the people coming your reminded of how many people need to hear of the love of Jesus. We were excited to hear of a young couple who has come to know Jesus and has had their 1 mos. old baby dedicated recently, they are now attending both services regularly. Also Ra's husband has accepted Jesus also as his Savior, this was very exciting to hear! Ra told me it was because he could see how she never wavered in her faith and always tried hard to do the right thing no matter how hard life was, also John helped him be able to have a much needed surgery and ministered to him thru this time.  Another girl who is a single mom of a 4 mos. old baby was rescued by the friends here at Sovonapoom, she was attempting suicide, by jumping in the river to drown her and her baby, because her life seemed so hopeless! She now helps out here at Sovanapoom in the kitchen & cleaning.

mother and daughter "team-work"

Later we had a good church service with the kids, worshiping together, John and Tonet preached together from Gal. chapter 6.
Then after lunch Stan and I, Tonet & Sreylin & 1 of the girls
went to Phnom penh to get a few parts for sewing machines and fabric so we can get ready for the much anticipated sewing lessons, (I've been asked, ever since I got here if we were going to sew!) ,
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Central Markets food stalls:) Prawn, Octopus, and khmer noodle and Spring rolls, and many sauces I don't know what they all were.... but it was good!! We were able to bless a begger with a meal from our left overs.

Saturday Fun at Sovanapoom Care

We arrived all safe & sound :) Stan practiced his Khmer getting a taxi and telling them where to take us from the airport.. the taxi driver told him his accent was good, we made it to our hotel with no problem. Thankfully!! The next morning we walked to a restaurant and had a nice visit catching up with Maly. Then Stan got a tuk tuk to take us across on the ferry to Sovanapoom Care Center with all our luggage, I think he was a bit overwhelmed! he had never been across the river, and we had a lot of luggage!
they caught several of these little fish,
then cooked
them for a snack:)
 Saturday Fun:)

Betty, missionary from Papua New Guinea
Its been good seeing all the kids, and catching up with the adults here. The kids are so sweet, yesterday (Saturday) is a day to relax here, so we played with the kids on the playground then in the afternoon took them for a walk to the lake with Betty a wonderful Christian lady from Papua New Guinea, the attraction was catching tiny crabs, and snails and they found some pink snail eggs!! quite pretty covering the sticks, sticking up out of the water never seen such a thing before!

The garden has turned into a jungle!! Papaya trees, already loaded with fruit,  Mango's bamboo, banana's ect. all have gotten so big, in a few months. I was amazed!!! now where to plant a vegetable garden?

We treasure and thank you for your prayers for us all here!

Its Time

WOW, I can't believe how fast time flies, the day is fast approaching when we will be flying off to Cambodia :) it comes with mixed emotion, thrilled to be asked by God the creator of the universe, who can move the seas, to  ask us, just past their prime parents/farmers, with no real education except the one that comes from  life. who live in the Desert 100 mi. from really anywhere that the general public would call important.... to go to Cambodia to serve Him. Its sometimes hard to comprehend.  Then I think of leaving family, precious grandkids, and a brand new grandson,,,,,, But I am reminded that they have amazing loving Christian parents who take care of them, and a Big God to watch over them, they don't really need me.. But there are a whole lot of kids who aren't blessed with families to care for their physical needs, and don't have any one to show them what a mothers/fathers love is, if they don't understand love then how will they understand Gods love?  So for that reason We are excited to GO to see what God has planned for us!!
